Available Positions

Assistant Director of Services

The Assistant Director of Services (or ADS) is a front-line supervisor who is responsible for the oversight and management of their assigned components. As the ADS you will work with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to reach personal outcomes. You will support people to live in the Vermillion community in an engaged and fulfilling manor. Additionally, the ADS will provide training for direct care staff, be responsible for scheduling, and the overall leadership and development of their staff.

Direct Support Professional Positions

  • One (1) Full-time DSP Positions – Day Position w/rotating weekends
  • Two (2) Full-time DSP Position – Overnight position (includes shift differential)
  • Part-time DSP Positions – Evenings, Weekends, Overnights

Home Manager

Under supervision, this position is responsible to manage the day-to-day residential and day services operations of assigned component.  Provides on-going development and training to direct support staff members to ensure quality services are delivered. This is a full-time position with time allocated between administration and direct support and flexibility in scheduling to ensure proper coverage is maintained.

Transit Operator

Vermillion Public Transit is currently looking for part-time and full-time Transit Operator(s) to assist with providing transportation services to Vermillion and the surrounding communities. This position offers flexible hours and a great work environment.

A South Dakota Class C Commercial Driver’s License with a Passenger Endorsement is required for the position.

. Applicants must pass a pre-employment screening process before hired.

A current CDL is preferred, but we will assist qualified applicants to acquire the license.
